Getting the Best Readings from Your PristineBlue Mini Test Kit

We want you to enjoy your pool or spa worry free. That’s why we designed our Mini Test Kit to give you a quick and easy way to accurately check your PristineBlue^® level.

Follow these tips to get the best results:

1. Fill your test tube to the 10mL mark with sample water. Gather the sample water from your pool or spa at elbow depth below the water surface. To do this, turn the test tube upside down, submerge it until the water comes up to your elbow, then turn the test tube right side up and remove it from the water to collect the sample. Pour out the excess water slowly until the sample falls to the 10mL mark.
2. Add five drops of Copper A to test tube. Hold the bottle completely upside down while adding the drops.
3. Cap the test tube and invert it to mix.
4. Remove the test tube cap, then add five drops of Copper B to the tube. Hold the bottle completely upside down while adding the drops.
5. Cap the test tube and invert it to mix.
6. Wait three minutes for full color to develop. Insert the test tube into the holder of your Mini Test Kit container so that the test tube stands upright while you are waiting
7. Place the color-matching chart on a flat, stable surface. This will help ensure that the test tube does not fall over and spill while you are matching the color.
8. Remove the cap from the test tube. The cap must be OFF for an accurate reading.
9. Hold the open test tube upright on a white area of the color-matching chart.
10. Match the color by looking straight down through the tube. Look through the top of the test tube as if you were looking down through a microscope. Compare the color in the tube to the squares on the color-matching chart.
